The Maryland Council for Dance strives to understand, support, and serve the needs of our community by actively engaging and amplifying the contributions of the eclectic and diverse voices and work of the dance artists, scholars, educators, students, and enthusiasts in our region. We recognize that diversity is not limited to race, ethnicity, and gender, but also includes research interests, area of focus, interdisciplinary background, ability, and life experience. It is through this alliance that we seek to promote and advance accessibility and engagement with dance scholarship, education, artistic development, and performance across all communities in our state.
